Ashlynn ANdersen
Yoga Student + Certified Yoga Teacher
Yoga Now Operations Manager
Ashlynn is an artist who loves learning! They appreciate the way Yoga integrates steadiness + adore how it heals the nerves like a soothing balm: supporting body, mind and spirit through the joys and turbulence of life. A sadhak (disciple) of 14 years in the Himalayan Hatha Yoga lineage, they humbly follow a tradition over 5k years old.
Growing up beneath the big sky in the red clay of the Jumanos, Kiikaapoi, Wichita, and Tawakoni Nations in Texas, they now live on the land of the Umoⁿhoⁿ and Očéthi Šakówiŋ Nations, colonized as Omaha, Nebraska. Relationship with the Earth and all her creatures is tender and deep in Ashlynn’s heart. This too is Yoga.
In 2014, Ashlynn completed yoga certification with Susi Amendola at Omaha Yoga + Bodywork Center (Yoga Now). They weren’t planning to teach, yet learned what was too fabulous to keep to themself. :) Sharing these yoga practices 2014-2019, they then embarked on a sabbatical, heeding a call to grow inward for some time. Yoga Now requested their return in 2023, and they have been teaching since.
Building capacity with play and deep relaxation is Ashlynn’s calling! Residing in the intersection of creativity and empathy, they inspire space for sacred self inquiry. They gently hold thresholds of release and connection on our collective path toward clarity and freedom.
Join them for Play + Deep Rest on Wednesdays 6-715pm CST
