Deb Welk

Yoga Teacher
RYT200

An older woman, a retired nurse in a turquoise shirt smiles while seated in a chair in front of a red brick wall.

Deb Welk received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Omaha Yoga and Bodywork Center with founder Susi Amendola, guest teachers and mentors.

Working most recently as a nurse executive responsible for health care in aging services, Deb retired from her full-time career as a Registered Nurse. She credits her yoga practice for supporting her in living her life with “Clarity, Focus, Ease and Grace.”

Deb is dedicated to making yoga accessible to anyone interested in learning yoga, with a focus on older adults, health care providers and caregivers regardless of their age, weight, flexibility level, knowledge of yoga, or spiritual/religious preference.

Filled with inspiration from yoga practitioners that she has studied with, Deb is grateful to live her dream and share yoga with new and experienced students at Yoga Now, as well as with medical students at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Medicine and nurses at conventions for the Nebraska Nurses Association / Nebraska Nurse Practitioners.
